Lisa Powell, DVM, DACVECC
Dr. Powell is a 1995 graduate of Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. She then went on to do a rotating internship at the Animal Medical Center in New York City, with a 3-year residency in Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care to follow, at Tufts University. She became a diplomate in the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care in 2000. She held a clinical faculty position in Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care at the University of Minnesota from 1999-2014. She is a prolific national and international speaker on many different ECC topics. In her spare time, she is busy with her kids, 3 dogs, and 2 cats. She enjoys running, Crossfit, sailing, skiing, and traveling.
